أشار تقرير من شبكة The Hollywood Reporter إلى أنّ الممثّل الشهير Jason Momoa قد يلعب دور البطولة في فيلم Minecraft السينمائي الذي سيتم إنتاجه من قبل Warner Bros. وبحسب التقرير فالممثّل في المرحلة الاخيرة من النقاشات.

فيلم Minecraft سيأتينا بتمثيل حي ولا زالت العديد من التفاصيل حوله غير واضحة كموعد العرض وكيف سيتم تجسيد عالم اللعبة وشخصياته المكعبة الشكل في فيلم بتمثيل حي.
